About enRecruit
What is enRecruit?
- enRecruit is an online service provider that allows Recruiters to screen Candidates by viewing their job-specific Video Responses. By limiting a Candidate to recording a 2-minute video in which he or she answers only 3 specific questions about the role, set by the Recruiter, we dramatically reduce the screening time and overall cost of the recruitment process whilst also increasing the quality of Interview Selection. Our service reduces screening time (which typically accounts for 60% of the total recruitment process) by up to 90%.
- We act as a vital business service for all Recruiters, including direct employers (from small businesses to global corporations), Recruitment Companies, Executive Search specialists and Online JobBoards & Marketplaces.
- Candidates use enRecruit to reply to Recruiters who want to perform initial screening by recorded video and have invited them to do so.
Who is it for?
- enRecruit is for Recruiters who want to cut the time it takes to select Candidates to invite for a face-to-face interview. 'Recruiters' includes employers who conduct their own recruitment campaigns (from small businesses to global corporations), Recruitment Companies, Executive Search specialists and Online JobBoards & Marketplaces.
- enRecruit is also for Candidates who want to apply for these positions.
How does it work?
- The Recruiter has a job position to fill and a list of Candidates to be screened. After signing up or logging back into their account, the Recruiter registers the job campaign with enRecruit by specifying the job details and requirements, and setting 3 specific questions for Candidates to answer by video.
- The Recruiter, which could be a Recruitment Company/Executive Search firm with registered Candidates or an employer who has received applications for an advertised position, then invites Candidates (by email) from their list to submit a 2 minute Video Response answering the 3 questions.
- Video responses arrive from invited Candidates and can be viewed, shared and managed by the Recruiter using their campaign dashboard at enRecruit. Successful Candidates are invited (by email) to attend a face-to-face interview whilst others may be declined by the Recruiter.
What is a "Job Campaign"?
- A Job Campaign is a single job position/vacancy on enRecruit with all the tools to manage the screening process.
What is a "Video Response"?
- A Video Response is a 2-minute video recorded by a Candidate who is applying for the job (in response to the Recruiter's invitation via enRecruit) and answering the 3 job-specific questions set by the Recruiter.
Is there a demonstration I can watch to better understand enRecruit?
- Yes, there is, and you can see it here.
What's different about enRecruit?
- We're re-inventing a key stage of the recruitment process to make it faster, better and cheaper: Candidate screening.
- We're not trying to provide a full recruitment service, job board or a video interviewing service - just a world-class utility for Recruiters and Candidates to improve their chances and experience in filling/finding the right role.
- We offer a unique combination of fast and efficient Candidate screening by recorded video that's just easy and enjoyable to use, married with a transparent and supremely competitive pricing model (per job campaign, no monthly charges).
- There are plenty of Online Job-Boards and Marketplaces – we're not one, but we make it simple for Recruiters to use us as a utility.
What are the benefits of joining enRecruit?
- For the Recruiter, there are many benefits. The main ones are the huge time and cost savings to be made in the selection process when recruiting (up to 90% on the screening process and up to 60% on the entire selection process), and the improvements in the quality of Candidates who are invited to face-to-face interviews.
- enRecruit makes life easier and better for Candidates too. Providing a Video Response allows a Candidate to convey his or her suitability for the role quickly and efficiently to the Recruiter, and to stand out from the crowd more easily than from a set of paper s.
- For other benefits to both Recruiters and Candidates, click here.
Is this a job site?
- No. Neither Recruiters or Candidates can view any job campaigns that are live on enRecruit at any time, other than those they have set up (if a Recruiter) or been invited to respond to (if a Candidate).
- enRecruit is a service and a utility that works in conjunction with existing job sites and recruitment processes. By using enRecruit before the face-to-face interview stage, Recruiters can save time and money on the screening process of up to 90% and up to a 60% saving on the entire selection process.
- enRecruit is easy for Recruiters to add to their existing process because it is simply a utility that is used by them once Candidates have been sourced, via advertising or professional assistance, in order to screen and then arrange face-to-face interviews.
How much does it cost?
- It's FREE for the Candidate.
- For the Recruiter there is a FREE trial account and then prices start from £14.99 ($24.99) for the Starter Account (1 job campaign), see our pricing page for all the options.
- All packages offered to Recruiters are paid on a per-job campaign basis – there are no monthly charges.
- Recruiters – If none of the packages offered suits your needs, contact us and we'll be pleased to try to meet your requirements.
Is a FREE trial available?
- Yes! There is a FREE trial for Recruiters.
- Candidate accounts are FREE – applying for a job will always be FREE using enRecruit.
What sectors and locations do the jobs on the site cover?
- We cover all job markets and currently service the UK and US, with offices in each country. Our web site can be accessed anywhere in the world with internet connectivity.
- Recruiters use enRecruit to screen Candidates from around the world to fill jobs in all countries.
- Candidates from any country can join enRecruit, use our services and respond to a request from a Recruiter to submit a Video Response for a job (subject to legal requirements of the country in which the role exists). For more details see our Terms and Conditions.

- Anyone can use enRecruit and join as a Candidate, irrespective of citizenship or country of residence.

Where can I find more information about enRecruit?
- Please visit our About Us page for more information.
How do I know that the jobs posted are legitimate?
- Candidates will usually already have a relationship with the company or agency that has asked for a Video Response using enRecruit. Any invitation received via enRecruit will include the name of the person and company requesting the Video Response, enabling Candidates to conduct their own research should they have any concerns. However we would like to be informed if there are any suspicious emails received by Candidates, who are encouraged to contact us in such circumstances.
- enRecruit strives to ensure that only legitimate companies use our service, but cannot guarantee the legitimacy of job invitations sent to Candidates or the companies from which they originate. For more details view our Terms and Conditions here.
- Candidates should note that, other than their first free trial of our service, Recruiters must pay a fee to use enRecruit. Whilst this does not eliminate the chance of spurious requests for Video Responses, the likelihood of a job campaign not representing a genuine vacancy is unlikely.
How do I know that emails I receive from enRecruit are legitimate?
- Our emails will always come from enRecruit.com and will never ask for any personal or financial information or any usernames or passwords. Any communication with our members will always ask them to return to the site. Please always check that the address you are taken to from any email communications has enRecruit.com/ in the address bar of your browser.
How can I contact enRecruit?
- All of our contact details can be found on our Contact Us page.

Viewing File s & Inviting to Apply for a Job
Why would I want to invite a Candidate to apply for my job?
- By inviting a Candidate to send a Video Response to your job vacancy you'll be able to screen them quickly and effectively at a time that suits you. You'll be able to share the Video Response and comment with colleagues too, assessing how he or she has answered your three questions, before deciding to decline or progress to a face-to-face interview.
Can Candidates apply for my job without being invited to?
- No, we do not provide a job board – we just provide a really quick and easy online video screening service that slots-in to your normal recruiting process. You can continue to source Candidates in your normal way.
What information about a Candidate do I receive?
- As well as their Video Response to your three questions, you will receive their current employment details and employment history. If the Candidate has chosen to store a File with us as an enRecruit member then you will also be able to view and share these with colleagues.
How do I access a Candidate's File ?
- If the Candidate has chosen to upload a File to store as part of their Profile, then it can be accessed once the Candidate has sent a Video Response by clicking on the Candidate's name and then clicking to view their File .
Can I send job invitations to Candidates who are not members of enRecruit?
- Yes, you can. The Candidate will receive an email invitation which will contain information about the enRecruit process. If already a member, then following the link in the email will let the Candidate sign-in and immediately access your job details and questions to be answered. Otherwise, the Candidate is asked to sign-up (FREE) and will then immediately be shown the job details and questions.
How do I invite Candidate(s) to apply for a job?
- You can manually input a list of email addresses or upload a csv list of candidates' email addresses.
How would I know if the Candidate had received my invitation?
- When you send an invitation (to single or multiple Candidates) you will be notified on-screen that your email has been sent successfully. Your Dashboard will also show you at all times how many Candidates you have invited per job campaign.
Setting Up a Job Campaign
Do I need to have an account with enRecruit to invite Video Responses from Candidates?
- Yes, you do. Sign-up via our Home page or Pricing page in a few seconds to become a member (your first job campaign is FREE).
How do I set up a job campaign?
- When you first sign-up, you will automatically be given the option to set up a job campaign. Thereafter, from your Dashboard follow the 'New Campaign' link (towards the right-hand side of the black bar) and fill in the job description template you're presented with.
How do I add another job campaign?
- You will need to have already purchased a package before you can add to it. If you have credit available on your account then simply click the 'New Campaign' link (towards the right-hand side of the black bar) and fill in the job description template you're presented with. If not, go to the PRICING page, review which additional package you would like to purchase to extend your current entitlement, and choose the appropriate 'ADD TO ACCOUNT' button.
How much information do I have to provide?
- You are given a simple sheet that is quick to complete, summarising the basic information about the job, including: summary of the role, job location, salary (can be in bands rather than specific) as well as the skills and experience that you require. Full-time, part-time and contract jobs can all be specified.
Can I set more or less than 3 questions?
- No, enRecruit is designed to speed up the screening process and does this by asking Recruiters to set 3 questions and Candidates to respond to those 3 questions in 2 minutes, keeping the time to review responses down to a minimum. Remember that if you like a Candidate and want to know more then you will more than likely be inviting them to a face-to-face interview.
Are there any rules or guidelines around setting the questions?
- The questions should be clear and succinct in order to allow you (and your colleagues) to make a judgement about the Candidate's suitability for the role and company. You can choose to make your questions as general or specific as you wish.
How long can I use enRecruit for a particular job campaign?
- Campaigns run for 30 to 60 days, depending on the package chosen, and you can extend a campaign if you wish by purchasing another package.
Can I post multiple jobs at once?
- Yes, choose one from our range of packages which offers this service. For more details click here.
Can I print my job campaign details?
- Yes, you can. From your Dashboard click on the job number under the Job Details column, or from the Manage Job Campaigns page click on the job number. You will see the job details and can then print as you would normally do from your browser
Can I share my job campaign details?
- Yes, you can share job campaign details with colleagues as well as your corporate social media. To share via social media, go to the Manage Job Campaigns page from your Dashboard and choose from the Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn icons that appear in the Share column of your job campaign. You can also share Video Responses with colleagues: go to your Dashboard once you have received a response and click on the icon that appears in the Share column of your Candidate's response. You will then be prompted for email addresses of your colleagues, who will be given viewing and commenting access once they have signed-up.
How do I monitor the status of my job campaigns and manage them?
- There are two pages you'll use to do this: your Dashboard and the Manage Job Campaigns page which is only reached via the Dashboard. Your Dashboard is where you manage each Candidate (send invitations, review Video Response, comment with colleagues, review their profile, etc.); your Manage Job Campaigns page provides a summary of all activities per job campaign (e.g. how many Candidates have been invited to send a Video Response, how many have replied, when the job campaign ends, etc.).
How can I filter and search my job campaigns?
- You can apply a range of filters to help search, group or down-select job campaigns on your Dashboard page (e.g. only display new Video Responses still waiting to be viewed). You can also order your job campaigns according to the table headings on your Manage Job Campaigns page (e.g. by how many days are left before a job campaign finishes, by job title, etc.).
What different stages occur in the process of inviting, reviewing and then accepting or declining a Candidate?
- On your Dashboard the Interview column will indicate the status of an individual Candidate in the enRecruit process, by text and a coloured icon. The text will be one of the following: Not sent; Awaiting response; Candidate invited; Interview accepted; Interview accepted with reschedule; Candidate declined. Icons will be blue until a Candidate accepts a face-to-face interview (green icon) or declines such an invitation (red icon).
The deadline has passed for a job campaign that I was running. What happens next?
- You will not be able to accept any more Video Responses, even if you did not use your full quota that your package offered. However, your Manage Job Campaigns page will indicate when a job campaign is running out. If you wish to extend it then you can easily add to your package by going to the Pricing page and purchasing further credit. You will then be able to continue to use our service for this job campaign or others.

- Yes, you do. Creating an account only takes seconds and is FREE. Help on how to create an account can be found elsewhere in this list of FAQs.
How do I apply for a job?
- enRecruit is used by Recruiters who want to assess your suitability for a job by watching you answer their 3 specific questions in a Video Response lasting no longer than 2 minutes. You may have already applied for the job by email or post or via an online marketplace, or you may not be aware of the job until you received your email invitation to submit a Video Response. In either case, you pursue the application process by recording or uploading a Video Response and sending it to the Recruiter using your enRecruit account.
Do I have to supply a Video Response to apply for a job?
- Yes, you do. Recuiters use our service because they want to assess your suitability for a job by watching you answer their 3 specific questions in a Video Response lasting no longer than 2 minutes.
Can I apply for a job with only a File ?
- No, you can't. Recruiters use our service because they want to assess your suitability for a job by watching you answer their 3 specific questions in Video Response lasting no longer than 2 minutes, so you can only apply for the job by submitting a Video Response.
- You can upload and store your File as part of your personal Profile with enRecruit, and this can be viewed by the Recruiter who has sent you the invitation at any time.
Who will have visibility of my Video Response?
- Only the Recruiter who has invited you to submit a Video Response will have access to it, and any colleagues in their organisation with whom they choose to share your response.
How do I create a Video Response for a job?
- There are two ways to reach the page on our site where you can record your Video Response:
- Click on the link in the email invitation that you were sent by the Recruiter (this will ask you to log in first, then show you the job details and questions to respond to as well as where to click to start recording your Video Response); or
- Log in to your enRecruit account, choose the job from your list of invitations on your Dashboard, and follow the link that allows you to apply for the job with your Video Response.
- Alternatively, you can create a Video Response using your own recording device, save it in a movie format compatible for use with enRecruit, and then upload it ready for sending to the Recruiter. In this case, log in to your enRecruit account, choose the job from your list of invitations on your Dashboard, and follow the link that allows you to apply for the job with your Video Response. For information about acceptable video file formats see the General of this FAQ list.

I am trying to record my video response and I get one or all of the following errors:
- A popup box that reads 'The following pages have become unresponsive. You can wait for them to become responsive or kill them.'
- A popup box that is titled 'Msg: chrome.exe – Application Error'
- A popup box that reads 'The following plug-in is unresponsive: Unknown Would you like to stop it?'
- A drop down message at the top of my browser window that reads 'The following plug-in has crashed: Shockwave Flash'
Examples of these messages can be seen below.
- These errors occur because your Flash Player has crashed. We use Flash Player in order to access your webcam and allow you to record your video response.
Flash Player crashes are common if you are using the Google Chrome web browser and also have the Firefox web browser or if you have installed a stand-alone version of the Flash Player.
The Google Chrome web browser comes with Flash Player built in but if you also have Firefox or a stand-alone version of Flash Player on your computer then the Chrome sometimes tries to use both Flash Players at the same time and that causes Flash Player to crash.
The easiest way to avoid this problem is by using a different web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. These browsers do not have a problem with Flash Player crashes.
If you would like to fix the crashes in Google Chrome then you can follow the steps below:
To fix this you need to tell Chrome to only use it's built in version of Flash Player instead of using both Flash Players at the same time.
In your Google Chrome web browser address bar type in the following:
chrome://plugins
Then click the + button next to the word Details in the top right hand corner of this screen.
Your screen will now look something like this and you will see the details about the Flash Player versions that are installed on your system:
Depending on your version of Chrome and on what is installed on your computer you may have 2 versions of Flash Player, 3 or even more.
The version or versions that are causing your Flash Player to crash within Chrome are the ones that don't have /Google/Chrome/ in the location address. In the example this is the 3rd version of Flash Player in the list with a location address of C:\windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_11_2_202_235.dll
This version happens to be a version that was installed to add Flash Player to the Firefox browser on that computer.
The other 2 versions have /Google/Chrome/in the location address so are part of the built in Flash Player for Chrome.
Now all that needs to be done is to disable the versions of Flash Player that don't have /Google/Chrome/ in the location address by clicking the blue Disable link a indicated here:
Your screen should now look something like this with the disabled version or versions of Flash Player highlighted:
Please do not click the disable link as highlighted below as this one disables Flash Player completely:
Now you can close your Google Chrome browser, restart it and enjoy using enRecruit!
If you have any other technical problems that cannot be resolved by following the above then please contact us.
Can I use my own video that I recorded and upload it to apply for a job?
- Yes, you can. The video must be no longer than 2 minutes long and comply with the size and file format rules of enRecruit. If you need to check what those are, see the General section of this FAQ list.
How do I know my Video Response has been received?
- Your Video Response will be available for the Recruiter to view through their enRecruit account as soon as you action its sending. The Recruiter will also receive an email from enRecruit notifying them that you have submitted your Video Response (unless they have chosen to switch this option off in their preferences page).
How will I find out if my Video Response has been successful?
- You will receive a notification on your Dashboard indicating a change in status regarding the particular job invitation that you responded to. It will show whether the Recruiter has declined to take your application any further or whether you have been invited to a face-to-face interview. In the latter case you will also receive an email invitation giving details of the interview, and your Dashboard will also show these details. You can then accept, decline or request to reschedule the in-person interview that you have been invited to attend. The Recruiter will be informed by email and you will be able to add a personal message to it as well. If you accept or request to reschedule you will be given the direct contact details of the Recruiter at this point.
- enRecruit expects all Recruiters to inform Candidates who have submitted Video Responses of the outcome of their screening before the closing date for the job stated on our site. However, unfortunately we can't guarantee that this will always be the case. You can be assured though that when a job campaign ends we will notify you by email and on your Dashboard.

Do I need to create a cover letter?
- No, enRecruit makes it as easy as possible for you to respond to a Recruiter: all you need to do is submit your Video Response and wait to be notified of the outcome via email (and/or by status change on your Dashboard). If you are then invited to a face-to-face interview then you will also have the opportunity to add a personal message to the email that is sent to the Recruiter in response.
Can I submit a cover letter?
- No, Recruiters using our service just want to see your Video Response and understand that no Candidates can submit a cover letter.
Can I apply for the same job more than once?
- No, once you have submitted your Video Response there isn't any way to submit another, but there's no need to – Recruiters only want to watch one 2-minute Video Response from you and will invite you to a face-to-face interview if they'd like to know more about you.
I submitted a Video Response but did not receive email confirmation. What do I do?
- There may be a delay with your email service. Please wait for a few minutes and refresh your browser. If the problem continues, check that your email is working and you can receive other incoming traffic. If so, check that the email from enRecruit has not been filtered into your Spam folder. If you still haven't received or been able to access the email confirmation from enRecruit then please contact us.
I have received email confirmation of my application but not heard anything since. What do I do?
- enRecruit expects all Recruiters to inform Candidates who have submitted Video Responses of the outcome of their screening before the closing date for the job stated on our site. However, unfortunately we can't guarantee that this will always be the case. If the job campaign has closed and you have not been informed of the outcome of your application, then you have not been invited to an interview.
The deadline has passed for a job that I applied for. What happens next?

If the job campaign has closed and you have not been informed of the outcome of your application, then you have not been invited to an interview.
The deadline has passed for a job that I wanted to apply for – can I still do so?
- No, the Recruiter sets the closing date of their job campaign and after this time cannot accept any more Video Responses. Consequently, your account won't offer you the option to submit a late Video Response after the closing date.
